Founded in 2016 by Valerio Civa in Bellazoia, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, Tenimenti Civa was born from a lifelong connection with viticulture and a desire to create wines that authentically express the Friulian territory. Today, a young team works alongside Valerio, combining generations of winemaking knowledge with a contemporary approach to vineyard management and production. The winery’s vineyards extend across the hills and plains of eastern Friuli, where the influence of the Julian Prealps and Adriatic Sea meets the distinctive “Ponca” soils of marl and sandstone. This unique combination of climate, soil and biodiversity gives the territory its characteristic freshness, minerality and sapidity, forming the foundation of Tenimenti Civa’s wines. Tenimenti Civa combines respect for tradition with careful environmental management. Cover crops, green manure and integrated vineyard practices help preserve soil health and biodiversity, while innovative recovery sprayers can reduce treatment dispersion by up to 90%. The result is a thoughtful approach to winemaking that protects the landscape while allowing each wine to express its place of origin.
