Description Image GEOGRAPHIC AND CULTURAL ORIGIN

Truffle Dust originates from Città di Castello, in the heart of Umbria’s Alta Valle del Tevere — one of Italy’s richest and most historic truffle regions. This area is home to a deeply rooted truffle-hunting culture and is considered the epicenter of Italy’s prized white truffle (Tuber magnatum Pico). With porous, mineral-rich soil and a microclimate shaped by wind and water, this territory has nurtured generations of truffle hunters and their loyal dogs, forming a unique bond between people, forest, and flavor.

TECHNIQUE AND ARTISANAL CRAFTSMANSHIP

Geofoods combines traditional knowledge with modern food safety standards to create this premium seasoning. The powder is made from spelt and 27% freeze-dried black and white truffles (Tuber magnatum Pico & Tuber aestivum Vitt.), then sealed to preserve aroma and integrity. Certified BRC, IFS, and HALAL, the product is part of the TrackIT Blockchain for full traceability of Italian excellence. Packaged in 30g glass jars or 1.5g sachets (sold in sets of five), it is shelf-stable for 12 months and requires no refrigeration.

ORGANOLEPTIC AND NUTRITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

Fine and light in texture, Truffle Dust delivers a rich, savory umami flavor with a balanced blend of earthy, musky, and garlicky notes. The high percentage of real truffle ensures a deep aromatic profile, while the spelt base adds a subtle nutty undertone. Low in fat and calories, it offers an elegant way to infuse dishes with authentic truffle character.

CULINARY USE

Ready to use straight from the jar or sachet, Truffle Dust is ideal as a finishing touch on warm dishes. Sprinkle it over risottos, pasta, scrambled eggs, meats, fish, and vegetables for an instant gourmet upgrade. Best added at the end of cooking to preserve its full aroma and flavor, it transforms everyday meals into luxurious experiences.
Producers Image PRODUCERS

Geofoods is a truffle-specialist company based in Città di Castello (PG), founded by Vania and Giuseppe, who have been selecting and distributing high-quality truffles for over 40 years. Their philosophy is rooted in respect for nature, artisanal expertise, and a relentless pursuit of quality. Their network of hunters, collaborators, and experts functions like a family — united by passion and precision.

TERRITORY

Città di Castello lies in the Umbrian Alta Valle del Tevere — a Renaissance town surrounded by forests that produce Italy’s most renowned truffles. With its truffle fair tradition spanning over four decades, the area is famous for producing one-third of all Italian truffles. The local lifestyle reflects a deep relationship with nature, where truffle hunting is not only a culinary act but a cultural ritual passed down through generations. The region’s microclimate and soil composition make it ideal for wild truffle growth — including the elusive White Truffle, one of the world’s most sought-after ingredients.

Sustainability Image Geofoods adheres to rigorous sustainability standards by sourcing wild truffles responsibly and promoting biodiversity in truffle-rich forests. Their commitment to environmental stewardship includes the use of eco-conscious harvesting methods that protect the forest ecosystem, and participation in "TrackIT Blockchain" to ensure traceability and authenticity across the entire supply chain. Their operations support a rural economy built on tradition, sustainability, and deep ecological respect.
