Description Image Geographic and Cultural Origin

This extra virgin olive oil is made exclusively from olives grown on the gentle hills of Poggiofiorito, a small agricultural village in the green heart of Abruzzo. Nestled between the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella mountains, the area offers a unique microclimate and fertile soil—ideal conditions for producing high-quality olive oil. The oil reflects the deep-rooted culinary and cultural traditions of the region, where nature and craftsmanship come together in harmony.

    Technique and Artisanal Craftsmanship

The Andreassi family uses a fully artisanal process perfected over five generations. Olives of the Leccino, Gentile, Frantoio, and Moraiolo varieties are carefully hand-harvested, gently washed, and stone-milled. Extraction is performed using the Sinolea® method, a natural cold-dripping technique that does not use heat or added water—preserving the oil’s full integrity, flavor, and nutritional value. The oil is immediately packaged to maintain maximum freshness.

    Organoleptic and Nutritional Characteristics

This oil has a delicate yet well-balanced flavor profile, combining subtle fruitiness with soft bitter and spicy notes typical of premium Italian olive oil. It retains a high concentration of polyphenols and natural antioxidants, which contribute to both its taste and its health benefits. Smooth, digestible, and nutrient-rich, it is recommended by nutritionists and dieticians for people of all ages—including children, athletes, and those recovering from illness.

    Culinary Use

Ideal for both everyday use and gourmet recipes, Andreassi Extra Virgin Olive Oil enhances the flavor of any dish without overpowering it. Use it to dress fresh salads, finish grilled vegetables or fish, elevate pasta sauces, or simply drizzle over warm bread. Its clean, elegant profile also makes it perfect for raw use, where its full character can shine.
    Producers Image Producers

Oleificio Andreassi has been producing extra virgin olive oil since 1878, led today by Matteo Andreassi, a second-generation master oil maker (“mastro oleario”) and guardian of the family legacy. Alongside him, daughters Maria Rita and Mariangela Andreassi are actively involved in every stage of the artisanal process. The family’s philosophy is rooted in transparency, craftsmanship, and deep respect for nature. They also create infused oils (with chili, garlic, basil, truffle, and more) and collaborate with pharmaceutical partners to make olive oil-based skincare products such as soaps, creams, and lip balms.

    Territory

The Andreassi oil mill is located in Poggiofiorito (Chieti), in the Abruzzo region—a land of rolling hills, sea breezes, and mountain air. This unique environment, enriched by mineral-rich soils and natural biodiversity, plays a vital role in the quality of the oil. The terrain and climate create a perfect balance between ripening and freshness, resulting in oil with extraordinary organoleptic qualities. Certified for traceability (ISO 22005:08) and organic farming practices, the Andreassi estate embodies a complete respect for both tradition and the environment.
Sustainability Image Production at Oleificio Andreassi is rooted in a deep respect for nature and a commitment to sustainability. From manual olive harvesting to small-batch, low-impact processing, every stage is designed to minimize environmental footprint. The exclusive use of traditional methods—such as natural cold-dripping extraction—not only protects the olives’ nutritional integrity, but also reduces energy consumption. By preserving local biodiversity and maintaining the ecological balance of the Abruzzo landscape, the Andreassi family demonstrates a long-term vision that values both product excellence and environmental stewardship.
